Julie Dyer
Julie Dyer, Media Producer with Kolt
Communications, specializes in video and audio production and event
planning. Dyer works to turn the firm's creative visions into television and
radio advertising spots, full-length informational video programs and live
events.
Dyer's production expertise plays a major role in
building communication tools for clients such as Lansing's Capital City Airport,
Capital National Bank and Greater Lansing Home Builders Association. She took a
lead role in producing the PACE Award winning "Recruiting The Best and the
Brightest", a minority recruitment program for the Lansing Police Department
consisting of an informational DVD for use in high school career seminars and
television spots.
Dyer is also a trained teleprompter operator and
makeup artist, experienced in operating both computerized executive and
on-camera teleprompting systems for location and in-studio productions. Julie
regularly provides teleprompting service for live corporate events and assists
many leading production companies with large and small-scale video projects.
For more than a decade, Julie served as
teleprompter operator, production consultant and makeup artist for former
Lansing Mayor's David Hollister and Tony Benavides during the annual State of
the City Address live televised broadcast. Dyer has also worked with
high-profile VIP's such as Psychologist Dr. Phil McGraw; Hollywood actor and
producer Robert Townsend and racing legends Richard Petty, Michael Andretti, and
Daryl Waltrip.
Dyer also manages Kolt Communications' extensive
video, print and Internet news monitoring service and library, distributing
daily television, print and internet media news stories to a variety of clients.
In addition, Dyer serves as Managing Supervisor of the Kolt Communications
office.
Prior to joining Kolt Communications, Inc., Dyer
served for 13 years as Video Producer and Account Executive for Future Media
Corporation of Okemos. Her work included service as field producer for national
network news and entertainment shows such as ABC World News, Good Morning
America, Entertainment Tonight, Hard Copy, and America's Most Wanted covering
breaking news stories.
Dyer also planned and produced numerous
high-budget corporate video programs, including "Lansing or Bust," a
significant historical documentation of Oldsmobile's week-long 100th Anniversary
Celebration in Lansing,; Michigan Department of Corrections "Use of Force,"
a statewide corrections officer training video depicting various
inmate/corrections officer situations; and "Keep an Eye On It," ,an
award-winning program for the Road Commission for Oakland County, training
statewide county grader operators correct road operation procedures.
Dyer graduated with honors from Davenport Business College, earning an
associate's degree in business management. She currently serves as Public
Relations Coordinator for the St. Johns, Michigan Sesquicentennial Committee and
Recording Secretary for Lansing's Old Everett Neighborhood Association, and
formerly held the position of Newsletter Editor and Program Coordinator for
Lansing Business Woman's Association Charter Chapter.
